January ATC Swap

After parting ways with MAS I decided that I just cant stop swapping! I love it... So, I decided to swap at yourpaperpantry.ning.com

There is a small fee each year, but it is so worth it!

This month they have an ATC swap and the theme is all about me...Creating ATC's that resemble us.

Here is mine:
I am a fanatic of roses...I love to make them.....I am LDS, so I put the temple in the background. I love to hear people speak in other languages... I am always trying to get my husband to...but...he doesn't play along well.  Tim Holtz...inspires me so much...so I used several of his techniques.... I used perfect pearls and a minimister to spray the white portion...I used distress ink to color everything.

I hope that YPP loves me!

Vintage Glam Holiday Artist Trading Cards (ATC)

The theme for my ATC Group this month was Vintage Glam Holiday!
I had a blast making these. I used the snowflakes from the City Sidewalks Packs. I used Distress Ink to change their color. So much Fun!

Christmas Stick Pins

Here is the covers for the Stick Pin Swap.

I love the covers! They were so fun to make!

August Stick Pin Swap....

This month on http://minialbumscraps.ning.com/ they had a stick pin swap that I joined.

It's theme was open interpretation....State Fair and Summer Fun!

I wasn't going to join the swap because I was working on another one and I was afraid I would not get done on time, but a new found friend Merry encouraged me to join.

As I was contemplating about what to make for this stick pin swap it hit me.... What do I love most about summer fun and fairs? ICE CREAM!

I love going for a walk with my husband to the ice cream parlor down the road. We have a blast. So, I went in search of ice cream inspired beads and this is what my stick pins look like :-)

These are the first stick pins created. I just love them. They are supposed to look like ice cream cones with a little cherry one top!
Here are all three stick pins for the swap. All are supposed to resemble ice cream.

The final result.

My wonderful friend Judy has been exploring the world of Swaps! She has made some really nice stick pins, atc cards, felt flowers, etc. I love seeing all her work....So, I decided I too need to swap.

I joined the following two groups:

a.) http://minialbumscraps.ning.com/
b.) http://yourpaperpantry.ning.com/

The first one is free to join and the second one costs $12.00/year.

I joined these on Monday, July 16, 2012. I completed the first swap item yesterday it only took me two days to complete. My husband loves when I am busy in the scraproom....it gives him time to conquer his video games :-)

This is the first paper clip
it turned out perfect.

I made altered paper clips in a matchbook cover.

Here are some shots that I took while starting the creating process.

This is the first batch of clips.

One of the hardest things to do was to find the correct dimensions for the cover. I usually can go by what is on other websites, but my paper clips were so large that I had to create mine from scratch.

Inside the matchbook cover. The
paperclips all nestled in their
beds.

I know that I am my own worse critic, but I really don't think I did a great job on the bird one. All the others are pretty good. My favorites are the roses and butterflies.

The butterfly paper clips. Too Cute!

I loved making these, so much so that I will be delievering these to the ladies that I visit teach in August! Hopefully they can use altered paper clips. I know I can! <3
