"Graphic 45 Design Team Audition 2015"

As part of the Audition process for team Graphic 45, I have been asked to create a blog post that features 4 projects that I have created that show my strengths.

Initially, this made me nervous! I have so many projects so, I began to think about what my favorite projects have been over the last few years.

The first project that really shows my strengths was my Steampunk Spells Waterfall Mini Album.
This was the beginning phase of the album. I collected several embellishments and in this photo I was debating about which to use. I fussy cut out the image and originally had planned to have it on on the Steampunk Spells paper, but noticed that the image blended with the background and therefor added the black paper to make the image pop!
Here is the final result of the cover, I added
Glossy Accents for stability on the feathers of her
hat. I also wanted the watch necklace to pop so I added
a dab of glossy accents there too.

I loved this antique domino and I added a little bling to it.

Here is the waterfall portion of the mini album. I did not have a corner rounder so, I used my Cricut to create the edges on the waterfall album portion.

The second project that I have completed that shows my strengths is a film tin mini album that I created for to commemorate my sister's induction into the French National Honor Society.

I found the film tin at a thrift store and altered it inside and out. I then created the round album that was included on the inside of the tin. I use the Graphic 45 Curtain Call Collection.

Here you see the cover of the tin. Completely altered using the Curtain Call paper and Prima bling. I created the small cream flower inside the larger grey flower.

The Third Project that shows my strength is this neat shaker card. On this card I did not use Graphic 45. This was using BOBunny Paper. It shows my stength in cardmaking. The entire card was made from scratch, shaker and all.

This is the beginning phase of the card. I had just created the shaker and added it to the front of the card.

Hand created envelope to match the shaker card.
Instagram collage picture I created to show off the card.
The fourth project I wanted to submit is still in the works. I think that every crafter has something that they are currently working on. I personally have usually 2 going at the same time. It makes life more interesting.

From watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UnzCpbKRBk ,  I fell in love with her album and started making one of my own. She used Graphic 45 paper in her album. I used several different paper stacks from Tim Holtz that were already in my paper stash.

Again the entire album has been created by hand.

The beginning phase of the album...creating the cover from chip board and paper.

Here is the nearly completed cover of the album. I am still working on the cover embellishments.

I still have 7 more pages in the album to complete.

I hope you enjoyed my blog. Thank you for your consideration.

Film Tin Mini Album

My youngest sister Tarah was inducted into the French National Honor Society at her school earlier this year. We are so proud of her. In order to commemorate this wonderful experience I made her a film tin mini album.

I know that Graphic45 sells the film tins, but I found some actual old film tins at a thrift store and I was dying to use them! (I still have 10 left....I don't think I will use them all....I am a hoarder.)

I used the Graphic 45 "Curtain Call" Collection.
